We wrapped up our 2023 wedding season with Dan & Claire’s Carmel Valley wedding! We love any opportunity to photograph in Carmel especially when we’ve got a genuine and beautiful couple in front of our lens. Claire and Dan met on a dating app early in the pandemic. Claire was about to delete the app when Dan popped up. Instantly, these two connected and over those first few pandemic dates, fell for one another. They share their faith and enjoy hiking, beach days and wine. The setting of Folktale Winery was the perfect fairytale whimsical setting for Claire & Dan’s wedding day. I love the romantic color palette paired with Claire’s modern yet ethereal gown. When we pulled the newly married couple into the vines for golden hour, true magic happened! Claire & Dan are such naturals in front of the camera despite claiming they are shy! They fall into one another so naturally and it is clear they have a deep love. One of my favorite moments from this day was during the ceremony ring exchange. Dan had bought a second wedding band for Claire as a surprise. The moment he revealed her new rings, she burst into giggles and a big smile! Such a moment! After the ceremony, Claire and Dan held their parents back as guests headed to cocktail hour. To show their appreciation, Dan popped a bottle of Dom Perignon and all shared a toast together. It was another special moment among many. Congratulations C & D!
